Consumer-Run Recovery Groups

In Your Own Words:

A group designed to help individuals dealing with serious mental health issues tell their own story in their own words. The group is focused on lived experiences from the participants of the group and it is the group’s aim to provide feedback and understanding to individuals speaking. This group is a peer-run group facilitated by Donnie Redford and Sylvia Bey, both of whom have personal experience dealing with mental illness and work for Chesterfield County Mental Health Support Services. There is no need for a referral of any kind, just a resident of Chesterfield County and have a mental illness.

The group meets at the Chester House on the third Thursday of every month from 1:30-2:30pm

For more information, contact Donnie Redford at 314-7122 or Sylvia Bey at 751-2297
